POLSA certification

Confirmed competence and infrastructure

POLSA issues the certificate after checking the data of the organization and its infrastructure. It has a defined scope, a number and an expiry date.

What the statuses mean

The certificate mark is shown in search results, on the map and in profiles. The organization profile gives the full status with dates.

  • POLSA certificate

The certificate is valid. Its number and expiry date are given in the profile.

  • Certificate expiring

The certificate is valid but expires within 60 days. The organization can apply for an extension.

  • Certificate suspended

POLSA has temporarily suspended the certificate, for example until recalibration. The status is given in the profile.

  • Certificate expired

The expiry date has passed and the organization has not extended the certificate. Its data is still published.

  • No certificate

The organization has no certificate. Its data is still verified by POLSA before publication.

For organizations

How to get a certificate

Certification is voluntary and free of charge. Having no certificate does not limit the publication of data.

  1. Publish your infrastructure

The application requires a published organization profile and at least one published instrument.

  2. Apply

The organization's coordinator selects in the panel the instruments the certificate should cover and accepts the certification terms.

  3. POLSA assessment

The Polish Space Agency carries out the assessment outside the system. It may ask for additions to the application and sends an e-mail about every decision.

  4. Certificate and mark

The certificate has a number, a scope and an expiry date. From the start of its validity the mark is shown with the organization and the covered instruments.

Data verification

Every profile passes three checks

Verification applies to all organizations, including those without a certificate. A certificate is an additional confirmation of competence.

  1. Approval in the organization

The organization's coordinator checks a change prepared by an employee.

  2. POLSA check and publication

An administrator compares the change with the published version and only then publishes it.

  3. Yearly confirmation

The organization confirms its data at least once every 12 months. Without confirmation the profile leaves the results and returns after it without a new publication.
